Filler for dark circles and puffiness
Bags, dark circles and deep tear troughs under your eyes can give you a tired look. You often see the same thing in one of your parents, because it is often hereditary. In addition, the natural aging process plays a role in this. In many cases we can do something about that tired look with a filler treatment.
Will I see immediate results from the treatment?
The effect of a filler is immediately visible. The actual end result can be seen after two weeks, when the area has healed and the filler has settled. How often the treatment may be repeated for the most optimal result varies per person. We will inform you about this during a consultation. On average, you will enjoy the result of this treatment for 6 to 9 months. During this period, the filler is gradually broken down by the body.
Treatment: 20 min.
Type of injectable: Hyaluronic acid filler
Result: Immediately visible (after 2 weeks optimal)
Repeat advice: Once a year
Effect: Average 6 to 9 months
Treatment of the tear troughs
After receiving the treatment at the clinic, a short consultation will follow and we will take photos that we will put in your file so that we can properly assess the result. By means of small pricks with a thin cannula (needle without a sharp point but with a blunt end) the filler is injected into the area. So no needle comes near your eyes! This treatment takes about 20 minutes and is virtually painless.
What do I need to pay attention to after the treatment?
The treatment of tear ducts and bags under the eyes has few side effects. After treatment we sometimes see some mild swelling. Furthermore, after the treatment, some redness or a blue discoloration may be visible in the places where an injection was made. Don't worry about this, this is only temporary and will disappear on its own after a few days.
To prevent infection, we ask you not to wear make-up or apply creams for the first 5 hours after the treatment. We also advise you not to smoke during the first few days and to visit the beautician immediately after the treatment, as this may affect the end result. As long as there is still swelling or bruising, it is best not to go into the bright sun or use a sunbed. After the treatment you can immediately continue with what you were doing.
